  Updates:

My latest column has now been posted to the Web @
http://safaricolumn.blogspot.com/

By the way, I've compiled over two year's worth of past "Internet Safari" columns together in a book. I think the book would make a great Christmas gift for those folks that you know who access the Internet on a regular basis. You can learn more about my newest book by going to:

  Addicted to the Web?

A recent news story reported that almost 90 percent of Americans consider the Internet to be an integral part of their lives, that percentage keeps growing every year. Studies are now being conducted to see if there really is any validity to what some people are calling "Internet Addiction". Click here to read a breaking news story on that subject. I wonder, for some folks it may not be an addiction though, it's just that they depend on the Internet more for their communications (I use e-mail far more than telephone and "snail mail"); for research (instead of slogging over to the library or purchasing expensive encylopedias); for shopping - that sure beats the heck out of running around town looking for the best deal on an item; and finally, I sure prefer to use the Internet to keep up with breaking news than I do to watch network or cable television and put up with all of those pathetic commercials.

  Great new film:

If you haven't seen "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" yet, you should. The visuals are stunning. In fact, they were almost all computer generated. Click here to read a newstory at CNN.com about the making of the film.

  Yahoo news:

In case you missed it, Yahoo recently purchased the online music service "MusicMatch". Now, from what I understand, in addition to operating that music service, Yahoo is about to launch its own branded service as well. Click here for a breaking news story on the subject.

  Lack of postings:

Sorry about the past few days and the lack of postings. It seems that I traveled all the way to Florida so that I could experience first hand, what it was like to live through a major hurricane. Yes folks, I am an "Ivan the Terrible" survivor. If you'd like to view hundreds of photographs that document the breadth and width of the destructive forces that assaulted the Gulf Coast - go to the Pensacola News Journal Web site. Locate the "Galleries" link and you'll be astounded at what you'll see.

  Current Project:

People ask me all of the time "So, what are creating these days?" - as if they think I'm always up to something. I usually am. Check out www.boggyville.com - it won't mean much to you if you aren't from the Niceville/Valparaiso, Florida area, but it's fun to learn about new parts of the country. I had a lot of fun designing the art work - my biggest effort and I'm very proud of the way it turned out, only by the grace of God go I....

Please, check out the Web site and purchase a copy of the book.
