  Read a good e-book lately?

Electronic books are increasing in popularity. One simply locates the desired book on the Web, downloads it for free or after paying a fee, and then reads it on their desktop computer, laptop, or hand-held device.
I still prefer to read a book with a real binding and real pages, but I am slowly getting used to the electronic medium. I'll read an e-book on my handheld simply because it's more convenient.
Since my PDA is always clipped to my pocket and goes everywhere that I do - it works out really well for catching up on my reading.
Sitting in line at the fast-food drive-up, waiting on the wife or kids while they are shopping, traveling in the air or by car - to me, all are perfect times to read.
There are two very excellent Web sites to download free e-books, the University of Virginia maintains the electronic text center at
etext.lib.virginia.edu/ebooks/ebooklist.html
they report that they have over 1800 e-books.
You've also got the Gutenberg Project at
www.gutenberg.org
Happy reading.
